A Vegetarian Thanksgiving

First off let me say I’m sorry I haven’t written in a while! But I’m back so have no worries. Okay…  SO it’s officially one day before one of the most incredible holidays ever… THANKSGIVING! Being a vegetarian and trying to save the animals from cruel production farms and such, I don’t take part in the eating of the bird and such, BUT I still get my eat on yo! lol.

This year we’re going to my uncle’s house for Thanksgiving, it’s gonna be fun! I’m excited. I got about 95% of the Christmas lights up and we have 3 trees up, we’ve got about 3 or 4 more to go and a few more things outside and we are set for Christmas. My brother got a job at DUKE HOSPITAL this past week and has to leave next week to start so we’ll be decorating the family tree tomorrow night. I’m so proud of him. He is so talented and intelligent. We’re gonna miss him but This is a INCREDIBLE thing for him! So I LOVE YOU JOSH!

Studio, Charlie Brown & California….

Sup boys and girls,

 

I spent about 6 hours in the studio yesterday finishing up vocals on my new record:  Outside of Town – Deluxe Expanded Edition. It’s was totally a breeze but I am still tired from it. I also recorded something really special. In about 2 weeks I will release my first Christmas cut in probably 5 years. It’s a very special song to my family and I. It’s from our favorite Christmas special “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” It will be an exclusive online download only. Be looking for that here in the next few weeks.

 

So come December 2 my new record will be out. It’s got new background vocals and a few special guest appearance vocals from people that I love very much. That includes your girl, Kristin.

 

Oddly enough we are about to release our spring tour dates. I don’t know why but they have filled up SOO fast. It’s crazy! But it’s AWESOME! I give all the credit to God, because it’s certainly nothing I’ve done, I just pick up the phone and say hello. LOL. We pray that God opens the doors that need to be opened and close the ones that don’t.  God’s great and I’m looking forward to the spring. We’ve got a lot of plans up our sleeve for this summer. It’s definitely going to be exciting. I can’t wait! Lots and lots of surprises. Lots and lots of them.

 

I want to give a shout out to the Angela Nokes & Bill Paradise family in California!  I thought it was pretty cool that my music was reaching the California area!  Thanks for supporting this ministry.  It’s an encouragement to know that what we do is a blessing to you!  Thanks XM Radio for making that connection possible!

Update from the polls…

Well I have been out since 5:30 am working the polls with a friend. I’ve been happy, angry, tired, and it truly has been the most amazing experience ever. Our party has supplied us with coffee, drinks, food, & everything we could ask for today. Shout out to our friends Al and Jen that have took turns with us! We love yall! The election only has a few more hours left. I can’t believe that it’s almost over. I honestly have been moved today at the turn out. I love this great country and it’s people. So many different opinions and it’s great to hear them all. I ain’t gonna lie… I’ve got a little irritated a few times. But that’s the beauty of this land. We agree to disagree and whom ever wins this election we will love and we will pray for. It’s our duty as Americans to accept our leader and pray for them. So join me in praying in these last few hours! Its gonna be such a exciting night. I’m so pumped. You still got time to vote! Come see me during the last few hours!

Will you rock the vote with me?

For those of you who would like to know the real truth of why I’m posting this blog…. Well here it is…. 

 

Time is almost out and there are WAY more important things to be talking, bloging, and e-mailing about than what the average person is doing today. Through the past 8 years we’ve been through devastating tragedy from 9/11 to Hurricane Katrina. We’ve endured the pain and suffering of loosing men and women, sons and daughters, and mothers and fathers in a war that most American young people don’t even know why it was started. We have proof, the statistics add up, and during a time where it’s never been more important to stand up for what you believe in, I ask you do you even know where to begin? Are you voting for one candidate because that’s who your mom or grandpa are voting for? Are you voting for on candidate because of their style? Are you going by information that you’ve learned through someone else? Or do you know the truth and facts for yourself. Have you paid attention or have you been so consumed in your average drama that you have no clue what’s really going on. If you have done your research and listened to the facts, I am proud be on the same team as you. It’s about time someone stands for something worth fighting for!

                                

Now for what people are going to tell you in the media is “Vote, vote, vote!”…But if the only thing you’re concerned about over the past several months or weeks is how your ex-boyfriend broke up with you, what sports teams for playing this week, going shopping with friends, or listening to the gossip, starting the drama and all the things that in the end actually don’t even matter… Then your place needs to be in front of a computer or a TV studying the facts and studying what the candidates can do for you.

 

If you’re over the age of 18, it’s your time to grow up, and exercise your right to vote. No voice, No choice. It’s a honor to live in this great land called America, and it’s a privilege to elect our leader. Don’t cover up the truth, facts are facts, and it time to pay attention to something that you actually need to be.

 

I’m thankful I was raised in a house where my family gives me the choice and gives me the opportunity to believe and vote for who I believe in. Our family is together and together we will stand up in something that really matters. Will you?

 

Be found at the polls tomorrow! I will be working all day at different locations at the polls. I hope to see you there. But please be found at the polls knowing the facts for yourself! It’s our time!
